Whoa Nelly! Wood burns in this! It is able to handle the extreme expansion of the combustible gasses expelled from the wood species that have been taken down due to death or unsightly appearance. This firebox punches wood in the face and then eats it. While it is sitting there, waiting to be fed, you can feel the excitement of the woodstove to please its new homeowners. It's almost as if it is begging for a kiss at 450⁰ F but don't do it. It's a trap! I like the stove. It burns wood and makes heat. The price was really good too. The End.
