Newfoundland Adopts Emissions Regulation
Effective July 1st, 2008, all residential wood stoves, factory built wood fireplaces, and wood fireplace inserts sold within the Province of Newfoundland will have to meet the particulate emissions standards as defined under the US EPA (United States Environmental Protection Agency) or CSA B415.1. We encourage all of our customers over the next 15 months to take whatever actions are necessary to adjust their inventories in order to bring them into compliance with this new regulation. SBI is the stove manufacturer with the largest selection of EPA-certified wood stoves in the world. We strongly support this new regulation and the positive impact it will bring on the environment and the future of wood heating in Canada. Wood-burning appliances certified under the US EPA or CSA B415.1 Standards represent a clean, renewable, and affordable source of heat. We will partner with our customers to make sure that this new regulation brings a positive impact on their business.
